(103) "I could do this!... I could do this!"

Just before 11 p.m. on January 31st 1994 I was alone in my kitchen and pondering on how the possibility of achieving long held spiritual goals was still there.

I found myself verbally affirming out loud; "I could do this!...I could do this!".

Perhaps instantaneously - and certainly within two seconds - a character in a TV drama that I had playing in the adjacent room (but which I had not been watching at all) said to another, with great emphasis and emotion;

"You could do this, couldn´t you! You could! Because it would be easy for you!"

It was in a Police setting where somebody was being urged to testify or at any rate to perform some service for truth.

I discovered this was a programme on Channel 4 entitled Homicide - Life on the Street: See No Evil.

The interchange occurs at 29:34 here -

It is also clear that the man telling the other that he "...could do this...!" had just previously stated that he himself could NOT perform the deed.
