(191) Villa Spain

At 9:15 a.m on March 18th 2003 I rang Byron Jacobs at his Brighton home from our house in Spain.
But it had been some time since I had rung him and I misremembered the number, mistakenly putting in 00441273 and then 326376.

A voice answered saying “Villa Spain.”

It transpired that I had rung a property company of that name in London.
But do not ask me to explain how as the number I had dialled was the above, clearly visible on the display, and the code is for Brighton.

(166) Paula Yates and family and friends. And from the Third to the Fourth

( AMPLIFY ING the above article will make it easier to read.) I first met Fiona in March 1994, marrying her in December 1995 and hence moving to Hastings. I noted that a lot of her arty friends and neighbours had children with unusual names. Judy Neate had a son called Bingo, and Alistair Fairley a son called Paris and a daughter called Carson. Laetitia Yhap had a son called Ajax and Craig Sams a grandson called Mars. (299) Caught in a pair of Dragonfly eyes

On Sunday April 7th 2024 I was upgrading/improving The Narrative Entry here Living the Dream: A Coincidence Diary: The Narrative, plus Epilogues and Appendices (james-plasketts-coincidence-diary.blogspot.com) and lingered on Points ( 45-51 ) re William Hartston either achieving (or missing by the skin of his teeth) grandmaster norms in the 1970s. I actually e mailed him re some details.
